Food for Kidz Community Food Pack

The Food for Kidz Food Pack happens this month! Join us on February 29, 2024 as we pack food with our community for our community. The event will be held again this year at the Fountain Hills Community Center from 5:30 to 7:30 pm with set up beginning at 3:00 pm.   

Here is the list of our volunteer opportunities. Sign up to volunteer through our website or see Nancy McGarry for the physical sign-up sheet.  

Set up (begins at 3:00 pm) – 6 people needed 

  • Unloading product 

  • Date stamping & assembling boxes 

Product distribution to tables (3:30 pm) – 6 people needed 

  • Break down oatmeal, cinnamon, and sugar into containers 

  • Replenish oatmeal, cinnamon and sugar during the event 

Greeters (5:00 pm - 7:00 pm) – 5 people needed 

  • Greet & check in volunteers 

  • Assist with donations 

  • Make sure everyone has a hairnet 

  • Check-in and distribute certificates for student volunteers 

Table Leaders (5:00 pm - 7:30 pm) 10 people needed 

  • 10 volunteers per table 

  • 1 person to supervise the replenishing of supplies & ingredients (bags, boxes, ingredients, etc.) 

Food Packers (5:30 pm - 7:30 pm)--As many people as possible 

  • Packs food product  

  • Seals food packets 

  • Works with fellow table food packers 

Clean up (7:30 pm) – 5 people needed 

  • Sealers & scales wiped down & returned to carts 

  • Wash packing materials 

  • Tables dismantled 

  • Floor vacuumed
