God's Work. Our Hands. Sunday

Join Us for God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday!

We are excited to invite you to a special day dedicated to giving back to our community. Here’s what we have planned:

Packing Lunches for Wesley United Methodist Church

We’ll be packing 200 lunches for Wesley United Methodist Church and nearby heat respite hubs. This effort wraps up our 2024 NEVC heat respite lunch pack project. Your help will ensure that those in need have access to nutritious meals during the hot summer days.

Assembling Kindness Kits for Circle the City

In collaboration with Chris the Lord, we’ll be putting together 24 kindness kits for Circle the City. These kits will provide essential items to those experiencing homelessness, offering a bit of comfort and care.

Collecting Food for Extended Hands Food Bank

As part of the Islamic Speaker’s Bureau of Arizona’s annual 9/11 Interfaith Food Drive, we will be collecting food for Extended Hands Food Bank. This drive is a wonderful opportunity to honor the spirit of unity and service that emerged in the aftermath of 9/11. We encourage you to bring non-perishable food items to support this cause.

Why Participate?

This day of service is more than just an opportunity to give back; it’s a chance to connect with others in our community, make new friends, and experience the joy of helping those in need. Whether you’re packing lunches, assembling kits, or donating food, your contribution will make a significant impact.

How to Get Involved

Join us for worship on September 8, 2024, at 10:00 am. Bring your enthusiasm, a willingness to help, and any non-perishable food items you can donate. Together, we can make a difference!

We look forward to seeing you there and working together to support our community. Let’s make this day one to remember!

Feel free to share this post with friends and family. The more hands we have, the greater the impact we can make!
