Please Check Expiration Dates

Please Check Expiration Dates Before Donating to Extended Hands Food Bank

As we continue to support our neighbors through the Extended Hands Food Bank, we want to ensure that all donations are safe and beneficial for those in need. One important way you can help is by checking the expiration dates on food items before donating them.

Why It Matters: Expired food can pose health risks and may not be suitable for distribution. By ensuring that your donations are within their expiration dates, you help us provide safe and nutritious food to families in our community.

How You Can Help:

  1. Check Expiration Dates: Before placing items in the donation barrel, please take a moment to check the expiration dates. Only donate items that are still within their safe consumption period.

  2. Inspect Packaging: Ensure that all packaging is intact and unopened. Damaged or opened packages cannot be accepted.

  3. Donate Nutritious Items: Consider donating non-perishable items that are high in nutritional value, such as canned vegetables, beans, pasta, rice, and healthy snacks.

Your thoughtful contributions make a significant difference in the lives of those we serve. Thank you for your continued generosity and support. Together, we can ensure that everyone in our community has access to safe and nutritious food.
