Northeast Valley Consortium Update:  Navajo Lutheran Mission at Rock Point (NELM)

Some 2000 persons live on the Navajo Reservation; 40% of them have no running water in their homes. NELM is working to address the water issue – the next step of which is a federal water test of their recently completed 600-foot well, at a cost of $4500. The NEVC Steering Committee decided to work to support this effort. Christ the Lord has committed $2500; anonymous donors have committed $1500; and New Journey’s church council has approved $500 left from our 2024 heat respite grant from Ascension Lutheran to go to the NELM water project. Please keep our Navajo neighbors in your prayers.
