16th Annual Fountain Hills’ Interfaith Thanksgiving

Join your neighbors from the diverse faith traditions of Fountain Hills for the 16th Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving celebration on Sunday, November 24th at 2pm. This year’s event will be held at The Fountains, a United Methodist Church, located at 15300 N. Fountain Hills Blvd.

In its sixteenth year, this cherished tradition is more relevant than ever amidst rising anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and Christian Nationalism. Sponsored by the Fountain Hills Interfaith Alliance, a coalition of local faith communities and leaders dedicated to embracing diversity and pluralism, this annual observance fosters positive interactions among neighbors of different faiths, serving as a beacon of unity in a world often divided by religion.

Participants will include Jews, Muslims, Catholics, Protestants, Latter Day Saints, Buddhists, Baha’i, Religious Science, and other faith practitioners from the Fountain Hills area. The service will feature inspiring music, opportunities for conversation, and reflections on the importance of engaging in face-to-face dialogue with those of different faiths and life experiences.

Syrian refugee baker Noor Al Mousa, whose baklava recipe was featured in Sunset magazine, will be present to sell pre-packaged sweets and take orders for holiday delivery.

Thanksgiving offers a unique opportunity for all Americans, regardless of religious or faith background, to come together in gratitude, celebrating our many blessings and the richness of America’s religious diversity. Don’t miss out on what past attendees have described as “an amazing experience!”
